Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and DialNook when you use the DialNook app or website. Please read them, especially the section on emergency calls.
Agreement
By creating an account or using DialNook, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Who can use DialNook
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must give a real email address that you control, and keep your account secure.
- You are responsible for everything done with your account and your DialNook numbers.
No emergency calls
DialNook does not support 911 or any other emergency number (such as 112, 999 or 933). It is not a replacement for your mobile or home phone service. In an emergency, use your phone's regular dialer.
The service
- DialNook gives you US and Canadian phone numbers that work inside the app.
- You can call US and Canadian numbers, and receive calls and texts on your DialNook numbers.
- Sending texts is not available at this time.
- Calls and texts need an internet connection. Quality and availability depend on your connection and on telephone carriers, and may sometimes fail.
- We may add, change or remove features, countries or limits to keep the service working and safe.
Phone numbers and plans
- Each number has a monthly or yearly plan at the price shown in the app before you buy. You can have up to 3 numbers.
- A number stays active while its plan is paid. If a renewal is not paid, the number is kept for 3 grace days and then released.
- Numbers are assigned to you by our telephone provider; you do not own them. A released number cannot always be recovered, and it may later be given to someone else.
- We may need to change a number if a carrier, regulator or provider requires it.
Credits
- Calls and received texts use credits, at the rates shown in the app.
- A call needs enough credits for at least one minute. Calls end when your credits run out, and incoming calls are not connected without enough credits.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are lost if your account is deleted.
Payments and refunds
Plans and credit packs are bought through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms. Refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund policy. Unless the law requires otherwise, credits that have been used and plan periods that have started are not refundable. Taxes may apply.
Acceptable use
You must not use DialNook to:
- break any law, or help anyone else do so;
- harass, threaten, stalk or defraud anyone, or pretend to be someone else;
- make robocalls, spam, bulk or automated calls, or receive verification codes for fake or bulk accounts;
- do anything involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of children (see our Child Safety Standards);
- avoid charges, resell numbers, or interfere with or attack the service.
Suspension and closing accounts
You can delete your account at any time (how to delete your account). We may suspend or close an account, and release its numbers, if it breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or if the law or our providers require it. Where it is safe and legal, we will tell you why.
Disclaimers
DialNook is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will always be available, error-free or suitable for every purpose, or that every call or text will be delivered.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DialNook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by missed or failed calls or texts. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using DialNook after a change, you accept the new Terms.
