Our standard

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), is strictly prohibited on DialNook. This applies to every part of the service: phone numbers, calls, texts, account details and any other use of the app. We remove violating accounts and report them to the authorities.

What is prohibited

You must not use DialNook to:

  • create, store, send, request or share child sexual abuse material of any kind;
  • contact, groom, entice or solicit a minor for sexual purposes;
  • sexualise minors in any way, including in text messages or account names;
  • engage in sextortion or threaten a minor;
  • traffic or advertise minors, or help anyone else do any of the above.

Age requirement

DialNook is only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

How to report

Anyone can report a child safety concern, whether or not they use DialNook:

  • In the app: open Settings → Support → Contact Us. This opens an email to our team.
  • By email: write to support@dialnook.com with the subject "Child safety report".

If you can, include the DialNook phone number involved, the date and time, and what happened. Please do not attach or forward any sexual images of a minor. Describe the content instead; we will preserve the evidence ourselves.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In the United States you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline.

What we do with a report

  1. Child safety reports are treated as urgent and reviewed by our team.
  2. If we find a violation, we immediately close the account, end its access to the service and release its phone numbers.
  3. We keep the relevant records so they can be given to the authorities.
  4. We report apparent child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant law enforcement agencies, as the law requires.
  5. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and valid legal requests.

Accounts closed for child safety reasons are not restored, and the person may not create a new account.

Laws and Google Play policies

DialNook complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, including the reporting duties in the United States (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.

Child safety contact

Our designated contact for child safety, for users, law enforcement and Google Play, is the DialNook Child Safety team at support@dialnook.com.
